This is, as you may have guessed, the companion piece to Castiel Wants to Lick Your Face (Platonically). Dean's point of view this time--just as cheesy, just as ridiculous.

FIC: Nightmare an Airless Flight (Supernatural, Dean/Castiel)
Title: Nightmare an Airless Flight
Author: Theo Winterwood
Fandom: Supernatural
Rating: PG-13
Wordcount: 3,380
Pairing/Characters: Dean/Castiel, Sam, Chuck
Spoilers: Up through the finale of Season Four.
Disclaimer: Do not own. Wish I did.
Summary: There will be no place in Heaven for me after the war's end. I am troubled now by how little that bothers me.
Notes: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, [info]sakurazukakami!!! Said I would write you a fic for your birthday and here it is! For the record, this is what you told me to write:
[info]sakurazukakami: I DUNNO. Something pretty and tragic. Tragically sad and tragically funny.
Do that.
WITH WINGS.

Did I succeed? Er. Maybe? Probably not. I hope you'll like it anyway. (Even if it's a day late. Your bday is June 16.) I ended up working in a bunch of random things that have come up in conversation re:Spn as of late. (Like, oh, the weaponry. And Peter Lorre.) :D :D

FIC(s): Four Short Ficlets (Castiel/Dean Winchester, Sam Winchester, Supernatural)
Here are four mini-fics that I'm kind of fond of, but realize don't merit four separate posts. All of them Dean/Castiel, and somehow, all of them also featuring a lot of Sam. Actually, in a lot of ways, they're barely slash, even though Castiel remains pretty gay (for Dean). But that's canon, right? :)

Title: Not Crazy (or Anything)
Author: Theo Winterwood
Fandom: Supernatural
Rating: PG
Wordcount: 208
Pairing: Dean/Castiel, Sam
Spoilers: None, actually. Beyond the fact that (spoiler alert!) there's an angel named Castiel.
Disclaimer: I really don't own these guys. Or Supernatural. (If I did, I'd be casting Sam Elliot and Sebastian Bach in the next season; I have parts for them. Bwahaha.)
Notes: Heard this song on the radio one morning when the alarm went off and in my half-awakened state, I thought, I bet Castiel really likes this song. And then the image wouldn't leave. (And Dean totally listens to Poison. He just won't admit it.)
Summary: Sam and Cas chat while Dean showers.

Not Crazy (or Anything) )

Title: Sam Had Better Rethink That Atlasphere Account
Author: Theo Winterwood
Fandom: Supernatural
Rating: PG-13
Wordcount: 697
Pairing: Dean/Castiel, Sam
Spoilers: None, actually. I'd like to claim spoilers for 4x22, but I hadn't seen it when I wrote it.
Disclaimer: Not mine. Sadly.
Notes: Spent too long in a Borders armchair that was positioned so I had to stare down the Ayn Rand shelves. Also, THIS is not what I meant by "Atlasphere." THIS is what I meant. (It's an Objectivist social/dating network.)
Summary: Dean's getting lucky, Sam's getting a visit from a bored angel.

Title: To Boldly Go Where Angels (Don't) Fear to Tread
Author: Theo Winterwood
Fandom: Supernatural
Rating: PG
Wordcount: 331
Pairing: Dean/Castiel, Sam
Spoilers: None. Maybe for the Star Trek: TOS episode "The Enemy Within."
Disclaimer: Not mine. Sadly.
Notes: Rewatched my favorite TOS ep. Thought of Castiel.
Summary: Everyone's a little gay for Kirk. If by "everyone," you mean "Castiel."

Title: You Don't Taste the Way You Promised
Author: Theo Winterwood
Fandom: Supernatural
Rating: PG
Wordcount: 150
Pairing: Dean/Castiel, Sam
Spoilers: None.
Disclaimer: Not mine. Sadly.
Notes: They're actually making these popsicles. I can't make stuff like that up. [info]sakurazukakami said something about Castiel and these pops, and given the joke that emerged about Castiel licking people's faces (which I admit is all my fault), it just sort of . . . had to happen.
Summary: Dean's third favorite Bond is Roger Moore. Who'd've thunk it?

I don't entirely know that I ever planned on using this journal for picspams, but the best laid plans and all that, right? So. Here we go.

Now, I'm sure it's semi-evident by now that I'm a baseball fan. And most people who know me know that I root for four teams: the Washington Nationals (shut up, I know they suck, but they're my home team), the Chicago White Sox, the Baltimore Orioles (my original home team, before the Nats turned up to start losing), and Whoever's Playing the Yankees.

But I would like to posit two reasons the Mets are pretty great. Strangely enough, these two reasons double as an argument for RPS. And their names are David Wright and Jose Reyes.

With that said, here we go! (Take me out to the ball game, play ball, et cetera.)

FANMIX: Castiel Wants to Lick Your Face (Platonically) (Dean/Castiel, Supernatural)
Photobucket

I had the title for this fanmix way before I actually got around to making it. So long before, in fact, that I can't quite remember where it came from. But it's essentially my ode to what a schoolgirl Castiel is for Dean. Or, as we put it: "Castiel is platonically gay for Dean. And a little creepy about it." Which led to discussions like this:

[info]theo_winterwood: is there a song that says: "when you stare at me, it's creepy, so knock it off, weirdo?"
[info]sakurazukakami: i'm sure there is
[info]theo_winterwood: hey there delilah
[info]sakurazukakami: YES! CREEPY
[info]theo_winterwood: actually, that sums up the dean/castiel relationship way too well
[info]sakurazukakami: omg it does
[info]theo_winterwood: you think i'm far away, BUT I'M WATCHING YOU SLEEP
[info]theo_winterwood: BUT THAT'S TOTALLY NORMAL, RIGHT?

No, Castiel. No, it's not normal. That being said (and you'll want to click through to see my awesome cover art) . . .

Title: Two Brains are Better Than One (Unless Either is Chad's)
Author: Theo Winterwood
Fandom: J2 RPS *hangs head* (Coupling-verse)
Rating: PG-13
Wordcount: 907
Pairing: Jared/Jensen (kind of but not really here), implied previous Mike Rosenbaum/Christian Kane (Characters actually in this fic: Mike, Chad, Jared)
Spoilers: Um, Coupling is on wonderful crack. And a permutation of this conversation occurred in "The Girl with Two Breasts." Other than that, nothing else has ever happened. Ever. I really hope.
Disclaimer: I don't own any people. And if I did, I wouldn't want to. (Especially not these guys. Can you imagine being responsible for feeding Jared Padalecki? Yeah. I didn't think so.)
Notes: This is a sort of completely standalone, context-free bit of a Coupling-verse fic I was working on once. I'm really rather fond of it, but that may be just me. You don't need to know much about the show to get this, although you should; it's brilliant. (Most of it is up on YouTube somewhere, too. Unless I'm much mistaken.) I may post more of these, because I've got a bunch of stuff with Tom, Chris, and Jensen written, but not exactly finished.
Summary: Chad sucks at women. Jared tries to help. So does Mike. Some help is more successful than others.

FIC: Symphony for a Devil (Sam/Ruby, Supernatural)
Title: Symphony for a Devil: or, 'Hearts and Flowers' on the World's Smallest Telecaster
Author: Theo Winterwood
Fandom: Supernatural
Rating: PG
Wordcount: 400 (A cycle of four drabbles)
Pairing: Sam/Ruby
Spoilers: Nothing really concrete, but we'll say spoilers for S4 in general, anyway.
Disclaimer: Characters not mine, et cetera.
Notes: Never actually thought I'd write Sam/Ruby, but then again, there are a bunch of things I never thought I'd do . . . Meanwhile, the secondary title of the fic is taken from the idea of "playing 'Hearts and Flowers' on the world's smallest violin," which is not only one of my favorite phrases right now, but also a pretty apt description. (You can listen to a recording of "Hearts and Flowers" here. And zone out watching the record turn. And then watch a pretty pertinent Alice Cooper video.)

I referenced a bunch of classic rock/classic metal songs in Keep Me from the Gallows Pole (Dean/Castiel). And then I thought, Hey, I should upload them and do my civic duty in the way of rock education! (Not to mention being able to share some pretty sweet rockin' tunes while I'm at it.)

So here, without further ado, are all the sweet rockin' tunes I alluded to:

Title: Requiem
Artist: Theo Winterwood
Fandom: None
Rating: G
Pairing: None
Spoilers: None
Disclaimer: None
Notes: Again with the toying with concepts for comic books. I had the idea for a priest superhero-type character last semester, and decided that were I ever to have one, he would be called Requiem. (There's a story behind that--sort of--but I don't have room for it here.) And he would probably do parkour. (A video seemed like a better explanation than Wikipedia. But it's an awesome skill.) Other than that, not a lot to say. I drew this super-quickly late one night last week when I couldn't sleep. And I couldn't tell you who most of the people in this are supposed to be, other than space fillers. (Requiem is the dude in the front I assume, and the kid in the very back is kind of inspired by Todd, that kid I drew in high school. And the other priest looks a bit like Ray Vecchio, now that I notice it. But he wasn't supposed to.)

Title: Faery Study #1 (Ie, doesn't really have a title)
Artist: Theo Winterwood
Fandom: None (Faeries? Fantasy? Folklore?)
Rating: G
Pairing: None (Well, I could argue for a few, but none definitely shown . . .)
Spoilers: None
Disclaimer: None, really. The folk figures depicted are not mine, however, and were for the most part dreamed up centuries ago. (And are probably therefore public domain.)
Notes: Just a sketch I did earlier this summer whilst thinking about the idea of a faery-based comic book. I could into all the ridiculous nerdy details, but I won't. The characters pictured are, though: Oberon and Titania in the back (don'tcha love his Venus flytrap wings? v. badass), and Puck, Mab, and the Fear Dearg in the front. (I will say that if I were going to write this comic book, I would love what I would do with Mab as a character. And I rarely get this enthusiastic about female characters, so that's sayin' somethin'.) I do, however, hate how weird and uneven the scanner makes my Sharpie-coloring-in-with skills look. Trust me that it looks a heckuva lot more even and dark in person. (And for once the whole thing fit on the scanner! But it's actually a pretty small drawing, about six-and-a-half inches across.)

Title: Part Heaven, Part Space (Gonzo's Room)
Artist: Theo Winterwood
Fandom: The Muppets
Rating: G
Pairing: None
Spoilers: None
Disclaimer: Characters not mine, et cetera.
Notes: Just a bit of a train wreck of a watercolor painting from the beginning of the summer. (It was a pen-and-ink drawing first, but then I got bored and decided to paint it. And realized that, hey, water makes ink run. So it's very runny and blobby. Also, you can see where the scanner cut off a couple edges.) The title comes from "I'm Going to Go Back There Someday," Gonzo's solo song from The Muppet Movie. There are a whole lotta things in the drawing that are (relatively geekily obscure) Muppet references, generally or specific to Gonzo, as it is, after all, my imagining of his sitting room. I could list 'em out here, but I'm too lazy at the moment, so maybe I'll edit them onto the entry later. (Or have y'all guess! It's like I Spy!) (EDIT: Okay, so apparently I already typed all of them up a couple months ago, after I first drew it! Comprehensive list will now be included!)

Title: The End
Artist: Theo Winterwood
Fandom: DC Comics
Rating: G
Pairing: None (super-subtly implied Dinah/Ollie, maybe?)
Spoilers: None.
Disclaimer: Characters not mine, et cetera.
Notes: The final page of an imaginary comic book. I figure that the preceding story somehow involved Ollie getting killed and Dinah--for the time being, anyway--giving up the Black Canary mantle. Apparently this whole thing takes place before Dinah stopped using the blond wig. And . . . Yeah. And somehow The Question is involved, too. Because, seriously? The Question is awesome. (Also, I had to scan this in two pieces, so I'm sorry if you can still sorta see the seam where I put the two parts together. Also, the big areas of black scanned really weird.)
